The Truth Will Come Out

But you know this already...

If you're someone who keeps a lot of secrets, the subject of this message must have caused some apprehension in you. Well, it should, because you know, there's nothing closer to the truth than this; the truth will always come out.

This newsletter isn't about the dirty little secrets that you've been hiding and hoping nobody finds out. No. It is about your transformation and growth as a person, just as all my newsletters have been.

Do you also think about the future? About what you will become and all that you will achieve? I bet you do. Perhaps even more than you're paying attention to the present moment, to the things you are doing and how they are related to the person you say you will become; the person you have pictured to be in the future.

I want to call you home from a future that hasn't happened yet. Come back to the present moment and look around you.

Look at your environment; take a close look at your routines; track the people breathing into your life; observe what you spend your time doing and answer this - are they in line with the future you tell others you're working towards? Are they in line with the person you see yourself becoming in that future that you so desire?

I'm asking because every one of these things bears fruits; your routines, your environment, your people, the places you go, and the things you spend your time on - these things are trees that bear tangible, recognizable fruits, and when the trees germinate and the fruits are revealed, the truth will come out!

You want to be a doctor, but what you spend your productive time on is FIFA 2024 or Netflix. You surround yourself with people who only want to be with you because you are a good FIFA player with no self-control, or because they know you have the best account of all the best series on Netflix. What you have in your living room is a big TV where your study should be.

Do you go to classes? Yes, sure you do. Do you attend the tests? Of course, you never miss your exams. You fulfill all the requirements openly, but the painful truth is that it is the things that you do in your closet, away from peering eyes, things that have not been made required by other people, it is those things that matter.

Those things will germinate and translate into fruits, and then the truth will come out!

You say one thing in public, how you always read books and wake up by 5 o'clock to pray, study, and exercise; how you make sure you do what is needed. You say a lot of things about how you lead your life when no one else is watching, and how people need to emulate you if they want to be successful. You talk about how you avoid unhealthy habits, and how you stay away from immoral things that could hinder your growth when in fact, you never do any of those things when no one is watching. More often than not, you do the entire opposite of what you say you do and what you encourage others to do.

Well, here is me telling you, in no spiritual or religious way, that the truth will come out. It always does.

One thing I've realized is that, it doesn't actually matter what you say that you do. It doesn't matter what you hope you should be doing. It doesn't matter what you ought to do, intend to do, plan to do, tell others to do, or even what you tell others that you do. It doesn't even matter what you do when everyone else is watching. What you do when everyone else is watching is the fruit in itself. What matters is what you truly do when no one else is there to watch you. Those are the bricks by which the house of your future is built.

And I promise you, no matter what it is you're doing, whether what you say you are doing, or what you are in fact doing, a future will be built, and when it is finally built, the truth will come out! That future will look exactly like the routines you have now. It won't look like the things you told people you were doing. It will look like the things you did.

Except you do not hope for a future, this isn't a matter of if, but a matter of when.

The truth about your life will be out, open, and bare. Would you want the fruits of the type of tree you are planting now with the actions you are taking to be revealed to the world? Except you want to deceive yourself, you have an idea of the type of fruit your tree will produce. If you are okay with that fruit, then kudos, keep planting.

If, on the flip side, you would prefer the tree you're currently planting with your routines, actions, and human influences to remain a secret, you better change them for better choices, actions, and habits and then start planting the tree whose fruit you'd be proud of before it is too late.

Your future will look exactly like the routines you have now.

Again, I am sounding the alarm, no matter what you're doing now, for your personal development, leadership, career, purpose, and relationships, the truth will come out in form of the fruit of these individual trees. Will the truth look like what you have always said it would look like? Selah!

And just to kill two birds with one stone, this is also a warning to people who are keeping actual, dirty little secrets. Listen;
