Gratitude turns what you have into enough.

I have been joking for the past few days that my brain has retired for the year. It took a lot of hammering and battering in my mind to get myself to my desk to write this last newsletter for the year.
It isn't the usual charge for next year, giving you sets of plans and how to make them like I always do at the end of each year. If you need that, you can go and check the emails I wrote to you in December 2021.
This time, I just want to say, be grateful. Gratitude is not a natural instinct, neither is it a dna material. It is a skill that you learn, a habit that you develop that will put so much sunshine in your life that you never knew existed.
Do you know the law of gratitude? It states that "You get more of what you give thanks for."
This is not a religious letter, but if we cast our minds back to every point in time from the beginning of creation that things have been multiplied, spiritually or in other ways, they have been multiplied through thanksgiving and gratitude. Take Jesus as case in point, when he multiplied the 5 wraps of amala and two eja kika (leave me o, I told you my brain has retired for the year).
Going by the law of gratitude, even when you give thanks for that which you don't have, the universe will conspire to get it for you (obviously, nothing comes if you don't work for it, but you get the point).
Look back at all the gifts you have received in the year 2022, and be grateful. Be grateful to God, to the Universe, to Mother Earth, to Big Bang, to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, anything or anyone you believe holds the world together. Be grateful.
I know there are so many things you wish you received this year that you didn't, be grateful for them too, because gratitude attracts. Be grateful for the things in other people's lives as well. Gratitude attracts.
Be grateful for health, even if you don't appear to be 100% right now. Be grateful for the health in others too.
Be grateful for life. The one you have now and the one waiting in 2023.
Be grateful for all the blessings the Universe made you receive. Gratitude attracts.
Gratitude will automatically position your heart to be content in yourself right now, and ready your soul to receive more of that which you are grateful for.
Be grateful for all the growth you have had in 2022, all the boundaries you have pushed, all the lessons you have learned, all the pain you have felt, because pain has a positive relationship with growth. The more pain you feel, the more growth you get.
Be thankful for the ideas you will implement in 2023. The things you will learn, the growth you will accrue, the boundaries you will push, and how much you will test your own elasticity.
Maybe 2022 wasn't all that you wanted it to be. Maybe you lost a loved one, maybe you got your visa denied, maybe you were hungry sometimes, maybe you didn’t get the scholarship, maybe you didn’t get the job, maybe you didn't earn as much as you wanted, maybe you were ill several times, look beyond all that and see that you had just enough to keep you alive, to keep you hoping, to keep you growing.
You have enough loved ones in your life to spend 2023 with. You have enough to try the visa again. You have food now, you have more opportunity to earn, you are well enough to see the year through. Be grateful.
Finally, be grateful, not just for the things you have and experienced, but for the things you want to see in 2023. Keep giving thanks for them until they happen. Keep giving thanks for them and see them multiply.
Keep giving thanks for them until they happen.
It has been a pleasant year, 2022, not in spite of all the shades of colors it showed, but because of it.
It is important we enter the new year with the right posture of heart. The only right posture of heart is gratitude.
Gratitude attracts.
See you in the New Year!
To your growth,
