It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It's what we do consistently.
— Anthony Robbins
Consistency is key, both the adjective and the noun. It is very important that you be a Finisher in a society full of Starters. When you decide to begin something, keep at it, stay consistent, and keep right at the fore front of your mind the reason you started in the first place.
I have had a lot of friends and students ask me what the secret to consistency is over the years, and I tell them the same thing over, and over again. The secret to staying consistent in what you have started and what you want to succeed in is to hold on to THE REASON WHY.
Consistency is birthed from the place of conviction, the valid reason why you started what you are doing in the first place. Until you have figured out your why, and not only figured it out but keep reminding yourself your reason why, you will always struggle with consistency.
Another reason you might not be consistent is that your 'reason why' is probably not enough to keep you alive and jiggy at what you have begun. If that is the case, you either need to find out another (an original) 'reason why', or find something else to do entirely, something which the 'reason why' will keep you alive.
If you have followed carefully up to this point, you must have surely linked up "The reason why" to "Purpose."
What is the purpose of that which you are doing? Find the purpose, and find a way to keep it in your face always, and you will never again struggle with consistency.
